At only 18, Malcolm, known as Mac Miller, signed with Rostrum Records and released his mixtape debut, K.I.D.S., in August 2010. He began his hip hop journey when he was part of a group called III Spoken. In 2009, Jukebox and The High Life brought him nationally attention across Youtube. His hit singles "Knock Knock" and "Nikes On My Feet" created a buzz amongst hip hop fans, primarily from around the Pittsburgh area where "Mac" grew up. His spin off of Owl City's "Fireflies" in a single called "Don't Mind If I Do" also gained attention because it has a summer-like feel to it and relates to house parties and a teenagers dream life."Best Day Ever" was just recently March 11, 2011 in which his song "Donald Trump" (music video) which leaked on March 3rd gained a million views in a week. Look for more of Mac Miller in the future as this Pittsburgh hopeful tries to gain more recognition throughout hip hop.
